Tom Hicks, Owner and Principal Instructor
Tom graduated from Brigham Young
University in 1991 with a Masters degree in Dance. He holds ISTD
credentials in Latin, Standard, Rhythm, Smooth and Theater Arts and
classified as a World Class Adjudicator. He is the organizer
of the Golden State Amateur Challenge, an all amateur fun event in
April, as well as the Golden State Challenge, a NDCA recognized event
in October.
Some of Tom's accomplishments include:

States Professional Latin Final

Piero della Santina
Piero was first exposed to dance at an early age when
he would mimic Michael Jackson and put on shows for his family and
friends. It was at the age of nine that he took his first dance
class. From that moment he walked onto the studio dance floor, Piero knew he would devote his life to the art. After
participating in cotillion from which he not only learned proper
etiquette but discovered his love for partner dancing, he dove into
the world of ballroom dance. Piero attended Brigham Young
University where he earned a BA degree in Dance with a Ballroom Emphasis
and was a member of the BYU Ballroom Dance Company. He excelled as
a member of the BYU Ballroom Dance Company and has performed in many
of their Television Performance Broadcasts. Piero has competed
in International Latin, American Smooth, and American Rhythm at various
events and has placed 2nd in the Nation in Amateur American Rhythm
at the National Dancesport Championships in Provo, Utah. He
teaches social dancing as well as competitive Ballroom/Latin dance. He invests a lot of
energy into his clients and produces great results.

Max Rublyuk
Max, who is originally from Ukraine, started his
dancesport career at the age of ten. He immigrated to the
United States in 2006 and in the first year of competing here he became
3rd in the US National Dancesport Youth Championships in
International Standard and Latin. Through his amateur career in
the US he was twice finalist of US National Amateur 10 Dance
Championships, winner of California Open Championships 2009, Nevada
Star Ball 2008, California Star Ball 2008, finalist of Heritage Classic
2009, Holiday Dance Classic 2008, Emerald Ball 2009, and Manhattan
Dancesport Championships 2009 In September of 2009, Max decided to
continue his career as a professional. In the very first months,
Max and his partner won Professional Rising Star, as well as the
Professional Open ones at the Golden State Challenge 2009 and San
Francisco Autumn Dance Classic 2009. He became Professional Rising
Star Champion at California Star Ball 2009, Holiday Dance Classic 2009
and the PBS Ohio Star Ball Championships.

Shannon Bagley
Shannon, has been dancing since she was four years old. She later
taught dance at Burbank Elementary for two years and she started the Burbank
Elementary Dance Team. Shannon went on to be a competitive Scottish dancer
for four years, winning competitions in Northern and Southern California and
Arizona. Shannon is a certified Zumba instructor. Currently, Shannon is a
student at California State University, Long Beach, majoring in Kinesiology.
Shannon aspires to teach high school dance in the near future. Shannon and
her husband are the proud parents of a beautiful baby boy.
